Information We Collect

Information from Slack

When you install and use Sorcia, we collect:

  • Workspace Information: Team name, team ID, and workspace domain
  • User Information: User ID, username, and email address
  • Messages: Questions you ask Sorcia through slash commands, direct messages, or @mentions
  • OAuth Tokens: Access tokens necessary for Sorcia to function in your workspace

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email, name, and organization details
  • Documents: Files and data you choose to connect to Sorcia
  • Integration Data: Information from third-party services you connect (Google Drive, Confluence, etc.)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Sorcia's services
  • Process and respond to your questions using AI
  • Index and search your connected documents
  • Send you service updates and administrative messages
  • Analyze usage patterns to enhance our service
  • Prevent fraud and maintain security

Data Storage and Security

We take data security seriously. Your data is:

  • Stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase)
  • Encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Encrypted at rest in our databases
  • Access-controlled with role-based permissions
  • Regularly backed up to prevent data loss

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in these circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With third-party providers who help us operate Sorcia (e.g., cloud hosting, AI processing)

Google Drive Integration

When you connect Google Drive to Sorcia, we access your Google Drive files with read-only permissions to:

  • Index Documents: Read and analyze document contents for search and AI-powered answers
  • Metadata: Access file names, types, and modification dates
  • Permissions: Respect Google Drive's sharing permissions when displaying results

We never modify, delete, or share your Google Drive files. We only read them to provide search and AI capabilities. You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings or by disconnecting the integration in Sorcia.

AI Processing

When you ask Sorcia a question, your query and relevant document excerpts are sent to AI providers (OpenAI or AI Gateway) to generate responses. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies:

You have the right to:

  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
  • Export: Download your data in a portable format

Data Retention

International Data Transfers
